Apple Pie Overnight Oats
Preparation time: 5 Minutes
The truth is this overnight oat recipe tastes like apple pie but without the calories, sugar or weight gain. It's simple to make and tasty and it will keep you full right up until lunch. Use granny smith apples to get all the gut friendly pectin into your morning. Consuming the wide diversity of strains of bacteria found in apples can provide your gut with diverse microbes, which is essential for gut health. This much loved fruit is an excellent source of nutrients, containing vitamin C, multiple B-complex vitamins, natural antioxidants, and numerous minerals. Apples are also a good source of dietary fiber and great when combined with oats which contain a unique type of fibre that nourishes and restores healthy gut bacteria. Plus, to make this even better for your gut it includes natural Greek yogurt which naturally contains lots of probiotic cultures that strengthen the digestive tract. Some Greek yogurt also boasts added probiotics like Lactobacillus acidophilus and Lactobacillus casei that may help increase the good bacteria in your gut.
